In October of 1982 Laurie Skreslet became the first Canadian to summit Mt. Everest. Since reaching that milestone, Laurie has participated in over 30 world-class expeditions into the Canadian Rockies, Nepal, South America and India. His accomplishments have resonated with adventure seekers around the world and Laurie is a popular motivational speaker on the parallels between climbing mountains and the challenges people face on a daily basis. “We can all find excuses for why we can’t do things, but in the end, excuses don’t produce results,” he says. “What produces results is a willingness to try. To go beyond what you’ve done in the past, get back up and try again. That’s what leads to success.”
