Born in Dominica and raised in British Columbia, Karina is the longest serving soccer player in Canadian history. She’s a decorated Olympian, an integral part of Team Canada and a motivational force to be reckoned with. As an ambassador for UNICEF Canada, Karina uses organized sports to empower children in impoverished communities around the world. Her passion for sport is relentless and whether she’s defending goal or speaking to a stadium full of young minds, Karina’s charisma shines through. “We are all a part of the same team, and together we can change this world,” she says. “If you dream big, if you work hard, if you believe in yourself—anything is possible.”
