Sarain Fox
“My passion is connecting humans, using our stories to further who we are
together.”
Sarain Fox is a
storyteller.
That’s the title she gives herself—although how exactly she tells those stories depends on what day of the
week it is. A dancer and choreographer, Sarain trained in New York at the storied Alvin Ailey American Dance
Theater. She’s also currently the host of RISE on Viceland and Future History on APTN, using the medium of
television to explore political and social issues. When not filming, she’s travelling the world as a speaker
and activist, using her platform to advocate for the environment with an urgency born out of her own deep
connection to the land.
And while the subject matter is often varied, the lens is not. As an Anishinaabe woman, born in Batchawana
First Nation, just outside of Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario, Sarain is passionate about empowering Indigenous
communities and amplifying their voices, especially those of the youth. It’s why moments like starring in
our Holiday campaign in 2018—the first Indigenous person to do so—are so meaningful for her.
Sarain Fox embodies the values Canada Goose holds closest: Authenticity, pursuit of excellence, and audacious
goals. We can’t wait to see where this journey takes us together.
I want to change the world for not only my people, but for all young people.
